Safe Mercury Removal

Mercury fillings were once the standard option for restoring teeth. We now know that mercury is highly toxic and must be removed with care to avoid exposure to harmful vapor.

During mercury removal, our team will follow the IAOMT SMART protocol to ensure your safety from unnecessary exposure to this heavy metal. These precautions include:

  • An adsorbent mouth rinse

  • A body drape

  • Protective eyewear

  • Dent Air Vac system

  • High speed suctions

  • A rubber dam or Isolite

*A nasal hood with supplemental air can be added.

BPA-, Aluminum-, and Metal-Free Materials

Many conventional dental restorative materials may contain substances such as BPA, aluminum, or other metals. Dr. Isbell is committed to using biocompatible, BPA-free, aluminum-free, and metal-free restorative materials whenever clinically appropriate. By selecting materials designed with both safety and compatibility in mind, the practice aims to provide durable restorations while supporting each patient's overall health and well-being.

Fluoride-Free Dentistry

Our practice does not use or recommend fluoride. Instead, we focus on a biologic approach to oral health by recommending oral probiotics and other products that support the mouth's natural balance. We believe in promoting healthy teeth and gums through preventive care, nutrition, and biocompatible treatment options tailored to each patient's needs.

Dental Material Compatibility Testing

With a simple blood draw from your practitioner, you now have the ability to check your dental material compatibility against thousands of name-brand products. If there is a reactive chemical in the product, it is marked as non-suitable. This lab provides a report of results by product name and by category.

Testing kits can be ordered directly from the lab below:
